Hi there,
The story behind GP Frontier stems from my time as a GP Trainee in 2014. Created simply to help cope with the vast range of knowledge required to recall. Being able to save and organise resources for quick and easy retrieval seemed to be the obvious answer. Once coping a bit better it was time to explore other ways of boosting productivity. For a long time I felt that there was no sense in documenting the same similar consultation notes again and again. ‘What would be the best way to save time documenting, whilst not compromising on quality?’, was the question I was determined to answer. Touch-typing and Voice recognition software allowed me to enhance my game but not to the the extent that I wanted. Templates seemed the obvious solution, but having explored existing template applications I always found frustrating limitations, whether it be permission to create them, access issues from another Device or Organisation, ability to edit them, ability to organise them or clunky application. Templates were the clear and obvious solution to saving time but without addressing these points there was no motivation to create a full library of them. ‘Pronto’ was created to resolve this and since then my productivity increased day by day as greater familiarity with my templates meant that I could apply them more seamlessly in real time. Colleagues were intrigued by the site and it was then that I realised that it could be of value to all Primary Care Clinicians and what’s more, Clinician’s could provide value to one another if the Website were social, allowing user’s to share their resources and boost their productivity together
So that’s the story behind its creation and now GP Frontier intends to uphold the motives that led to its creation by providing UK based Primary Clinicians with a platform to forever enhance their productivity and chart new territories together!
